The White Cube 白盒子

I was fascinated by the theory of Minimalist Art at that moment and would like to demonstrate a different painting that I have never tried in the past. So I removed the subject from the center of the canvas and left an abstract geometry that could be filled up with the imagination or definition by the audience with different milieus.

 

Some audiences told me that the blank geometry stood for authority in society, and it was also regarded as a UFO by the other viewers. However, the white field was likely to be more potentially meaningful and definable by the story context of the audience.

我想嘗試將畫面的主體物件移除，留下一片空白，不再讓自己說太多話，而是透過觀者的想像、周遭的事物和生活背景，重新定義留白處的可能性。有的人認為白色的巨大幾何物是權力、位階的象徵，有的人則認為它是一個外星人的飛行物。依據他們的知識脈絡，主體物件的定義被重新打亂、更含糊、更有故事。
