The Shelters 避風港

digital photography, photoshop | 2020

《The Shelters》is related to another of my works《The White Cube》I made in 2018. I tried to guide the audience to perceive other objectives and the environment surrounding them, so I took off the main subject from the canvas and left a blank geometry with tiny human beings around.

This time, I jumped to another material - photography and digital editing, to present different subjects. For instance, I took photos of Taipei street, realistic objects, and so on. Those photos show the places where people used to assemble or have a rest. I wondered that how the viewer redefines those sites after I hollowed them out.
